Computed at a rate of $2.28 per $500.00 of consideration or $4.56 per $1,000 of consideration, which must be stated on the deed.

Note:Barnstable County (Cape Cod) has a separate County Stamp Tax. The total stamp tax fee in Barnstable County is $5.70 per $1,000.00 and will increase to $6.12 per $1,000.00 effective July 1, 2009.

Conveyances in Dukes County and Nantucket County are also subject to a land bank fee of 2% of the purchase price.
